About Us

Welcome to Harper County Health Foundation!

We are proud to be the foundation that helps provide health-related activities, resources and solutions for the residents of Harper County and those who use Patterson Health Center. 


In 2021, through the encouragement of Neal Patterson and his family, two communities came together to create one health center -- to be a leader in rural health care. In like fashion, the two existing health foundations also came together into one... creating a stronger framework and pool of help and ideas!


We are proud to carry forth exciting health projects and look forward to expanding these ideas into the future!

Have you been to The Patterson Health Center? Not only is it beautiful, the staff has repeatedly earned top marks and awards nation-wide. The benefactor, Neal Patterson, had the vision for a leader in rural healthcare and PHC is focused on achieving that goal.

County Health Rankings and Roadmaps

This website provides data for Harper County, including evidence, guidance, and examples to build awareness of the factors that influence the health and well-being of its residents. In 2021, Harper County ranked among the least healthy counties in Kansas.

Patterson Health Center's Community Health Needs Assessment

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires not-for-profit hospitals to conduct a CHNA survey of the community every three years and adopt an implementation strategy to meet the needs identified by the CHNA. The Health Foundation, along with other community organizations, partner with PHC to meet the needs identified by the survey.
